Weatherbooks
In the mid-1970s, I started photographing the weather—especially clouds and lightning—and, of course, other weather phenomena as well.
I started with a simple point-and-shoot camera, then moved on to a better analog camera, and in the 1980s I bought a Canon AV1 to capture even better results.
Since the dawn of digital photography, I first bought a small digital compact camera, then two Kodak compact cameras, a small Panasonic compact camera, and in 2010 a Canon 1000D SLR, which finally marked a significant step forward. Now I have two semi-professional Canon cameras: the 760D and the 77D.
In the last few years, there have been so many websites and programs that can restore old—faded, discolored, or damaged—photos to look like new, sharpen them, and more… it's truly a massive improvement.
I'm currently going through all my photo scrapbooks and selecting the best ones for the special photo books I'm planning to publish.
The first book will be about lightning from around 1976—*Lightning Book: Dordrecht*—through 2004.
The best photos will be featured in this volume.
